What is a Bohemian "Boho" Picnic?

A Bohemian themed picnic is a relaxed style with an earthy look and feel. It's eclectic and pulls together the elegance of nature's patterns, colors, and accessories. In picnic form, Boho style tables are low lying close to the ground and surrounded by plush and cozy throw pillows, floor cushions, blankets and throws. Everything is at your reach so you don't have to get up much. You can just chill and soak up what the sun and surroundings have to offer. That being said, Keep in mind that your guests should be comfortable with sitting on a cushion placed on the ground.

How far in advance should I request to book my picnic?

We highly recommend you submit your booking request as soon as you as possible. This way you will have a better chance of locking in your desired date and time. We suggest booking at least 3-8 weeks in advance.

How do I book a picnic?

NOTE: The person booking the picnic must be 21+ as they must sign a Party Rental Agreement and Liability Waiver.

Once you have decided on a picnic, simply fill out our BOOKING REQ. form and we will let you know whether we have availability for the requested time. If we do, we will send you our invoice. Simply pay the 50% deposit and your event is secured. Bookings are not confirmed until date/time/location have been approved and 50% deposit has be paid. Remaining balance will be due 5 days before the picnic date.

What if weather is bad?

 Unfortunately the weather is out of our control. We ask all our guests to please try to have a plan B in place (indoor location) during the summer/spring rainy season. We are also very hesitate to set-up at beach locations or any outdoor location that is not covered if there is more than a 20% chance of rain.

PICNICS: For Florida locals:

We don't offer refunds , but we can reschedule your reservation date (subject to availability) without penalty up to 72 hours before your picnic event.  

If you cancel within 48 hrs hours, there is a rescheduling fee of $20 per person for Picnics  & client is responsible for the Grazing boxes/Grazing they ordered.

PICNICS: Out of State Visitors : We monitor the weather and offer indoor set-up when available. You are also able to reschedule (24-48 hours) prior to the picnic date. However, if you choose to wait it out and decide to cancel or postpone less than 48 hours before the Picnic Date, you are subject to pay the full price of the Food and Beverages. We are happy to deliver your Grazing Boxes/platters and beverages to you  so you can at least enjoy part of the Luxe Picnic experience regardless of the weather outdoors.

Once the picnic is physically set up, we cannot reschedule.

Generally, Our preference is to move the event inside your home. Our styled picnics will still look beautiful indoors.

We will always try to accommodate last-minute location changes.

CATERING/GRAZING SERVICE/BUILD-A-BOARD/PAIRING EXPERIENCES & WORKSHOP CANCELLATIONS:

(NON-Corporate & Small groups under 25 guests)

Deposits are non-refundable.

We are happy to reschedule with no rescheduling fees  and hold your credit if cancellations are made 5 days (120 hours)  before event date.

Cancellations made after, will be responsible for 80% of the invoice if the event is not rescheduled or supplies & food are already purchased.

Cancellations made within 48 hours will be responsible for 100% of the invoice total.
 

(Corporate & Large groups  over 25 guests):

Deposits are non-refundable.

We are happy to reschedule with no rescheduling fees  and hold your credit if cancellations are made 15 days before event date.

Cancellations made after, will be responsible for 80% of the invoice if the event is not rescheduled or supplies & food are already purchased.

Cancellations made within 48 hours will be responsible for 100% of the invoice total.

How do the picnics work?

Our job is to make sure everything is set up and ready for your arrival at your chosen time and location. We'll be there waiting with your picnic until you arrive to make sure everything stays safe and pristine for your arrival. When you arrive, we leave and let you get your picnic on. We return once your picnic is over at the agreed upon time to clean and pack up for you! All you have to do is walk away – hopefully feeling relaxed and with a smile on your face - and enjoy the rest of your day. It’s that simple! Oh, and yes! You are welcome to add whatever food/*beverages you'd like to bring to your picnic.

*(alcoholic beverages are not permitted in State/Public Parks & beaches. Luxe Picnics by Les will not be held responsible if any laws are broken by the client).

Do you offer Picnic Packages for kids and teens?

We sure do! We do require that picnics be booked by an adult 21+ as they must sign a Rental Agreement and Liability Waiver. 

Our debut in the event/party business began in 2005 and it was for children and teens. We can create and accommodate age appropriate Boho picnic themes and grazing boxes to make our younger picnic guests very happy. we have partnered up with some wonderful small business that offer Card Yard signs, personalized mementos, and amazing balloon designs that can add whimsy and fun to any child/teens picnic.

What if something breaks or there’s a spill?

We do require a $100 refundable damage fee and a signed Rental Agreement and Liability Waiver at the time you pay for your booking balance.

We kindly request that shoes be removed when on the blankets. It's not just to keep them free of stains, it's also because we want you to relax and lay on a nice clean blanket.

If there's a spill don’t fret. Simple liquid spills, like water or light colored lemonades, may not incur a fee. We do our best to remove stains in-house. However, you may be billed for dry cleaning costs if required. Please inform your host at the end of your picnic if there are any major spills or accidents so they can try to fix it and avoid the dry cleaners or, if needed, replacing the item! All breakages must be paid for at items retail cost.

Is smoking allowed near the picnic set-up?

In both our indoor and outdoor picnics, we kindly request that you do not smoke in/near/ or around the picnic setup.

In addition, in order to keep our picnic equipment/decor clean and safe, we will not set up in venues/homes where there is smoking.

If any of our picnic equipment/decor smells of smoke, your Damage Fee will NOT be refunded.

Is the picnic decor disinfected between gatherings?

 Absolutely! In addition to ensuring you have a wonderful picnic, the safety and health of you and your guests is a priority. We make sure to properly wash and disinfect all pillow cases/ inserts, blankets and throws. We also wipe down all hard surfaces.

 

What is included in the LUXE PICNICS by Les?

We’re currently offering packages that are COVID-Conscious and suitable for small intimate gatherings of 2-8 people.

All of our picnics include delivery (distant locations past 18 miles are extra), set up, styling/decor, a grazing box per guest, two 33.8 Fl. Oz Acqua Panna Water bottles per guest, pack up, and cleaning.

 We currently offer  three decoration styles: Luxe Boho Chic, Luxe Boho Coastal & Breezy Boho- which can be completed with add-ons of your choice.

 

What happens if I’m late?

While we're here to make your day easier and help you create beautiful memories, we ask that you respect our time and arrive at the agreed time. We may have other bookings we need to get to, and if you're late it affects our whole schedule. We also want your picnic as fresh as possible and if you arrive an hour late, we cannot guarantee the food will still be at it's best!

Please let us know as soon as you know you are delayed.

 However, a fee will be charged if you are late because we can't leave until you arrive.

20+ min $45,

45+ min $75,

At an hour we have the right to pack up the picnic without refund.

 Please also note that your picnic time starts from the originally agreed time whether you are late or not.

 

Can we leave whenever we want?

No. You are responsible for the items until we return to pack them up at the arranged time. If you would like to leave earlier than the agreed time, please provide us a 30 min notice via phone call or text. There are no refunds for unused time.

 

Can we use your picnic set-ups for more than the set time-slot or even overnight?

Because we are a new business we are currently not booking overnight rentals. However, if location and time availability permits, we are happy to allow you to extend your 2 hour booking as follows:

+ $50 for additional  hour up to 2 additional hours max.

We’ll need to know at time of booking if you think you’d like to extend it.

 In some cases if you are having a great time and spontaneously decide you would like to stay a bit longer, you can text us and once again, if location and time availability permits, we will happily allow you to extend your 2 hour booking as follows:

+ $50 for additional hour up to ONE hour max.

 

What if my desired location is outside the area?

It is possible to accommodate locations outside the Amelia Island/ Fernandina Beach/ Yulee area.

 We do require an additional fee depending on the distance of the location. The fee covers mileage, gas and time.  Anything  over 20 miles away from our home base area (Yulee, FL) will be charged a mileage fee of $0.56 a mile + *$10.00 gas fee (subject to increase) depending on distance of the location. Do you offer vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free options?

Yes. If you have any dietary requirements do not hesitate to let us know.

We are more than happy to accommodate your needs.

Just make a note when completing your booking and we'll be in contact to confirm your request. If you have a nut allergy, please know that even though we try our best, we cannot guarantee any cross contamination.

 

What about alcoholic beverages?

We do not have a license to sell alcohol and will not provide any.

Our state/public parks and beaches are very strict and on consuming alcohol in public areas. Unfortunately, we cannot provide alcoholic beverages and you may want to check with the regulations and laws in your desired area if you decided to bring your own.

 

Cancellations/Refunds?

Deposits are non-refundable as we have held your date and turned down other events to do so.

We don't offer any refunds but we can reschedule your reservation date (subject to availability) one time without penalty up to 72 hours before your picnic event.

Within 72 hours, there is a rescheduling fee of $20 per person.

Once the picnic is set up, we cannot cancel or reschedule.

 

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes we do! Gift certificates may be purchased for any dollar value $100 or over. Visit our "Gift Certificate" page, send us an email to order your gift certificate. They make wonderful unique gifts .
